it may be time. is it time?

winter is the time for .... BOOTS!

The other day, I became okay with living in New England.
Oh, you know, it has only taken me four years to come to terms with it! As I've been moving, I went through and refolded and arranged all my sweaters. It made me long for the days when I can wear them again.
My favorite thing about winter is baggy, warm sweaters, leggings and of course BOOTS!!

BRING IT ON WINTER!

live the dream.

via Here Comes the Sun

Some people were meant to sit in offices, have a spouse, two kids, ya know, living the typical "normal" lifestyle. Whatever it is that causes those desires must of skipped me at the time of my conception. The older I get the more and more I realize how much that sounds less like the dream life come true and my own personal hell.

I find comfort in at least knowing that "the norm" and Elise do not mesh well with one another. It has taken me many, many years of fighting my true being and attempting to fit into the cookie cutter mold of average an American lifestyle. I am starting to figure out exactly when I am at peace with myself. That peace resides when I create.

When it comes to art, I pretty much will do anything. It is true what they say, anything can be art. The only art I have not put my finger on is music (which is ironic because it is the one art form I love and appreciate more than anything on this planet). Until very recently I have felt self-conscious about my art. I was more concerned about what the mass audience would think than what I thought. Once it dawned on me, "hey dummy, make this for yourself, no one else!" Things began to fall into place. That large wall which was preventing me from creating was broken down and the thoughts started flowing.

Art can be anything. The art you make will not be adored by all, but for those that DO get it.. they GET IT. Therefore, I am learning to make art for myself and myself only. It needs to be selfish, it is a continuation of my inner being. I am going to pursue the last art form I have been too fearful to explore, music. I worry that my voice isn't good enough, but it is what I have and if it is me honestly singing then who is anyone to reject it? Art, in any form, if honest is beautiful. Good, bad, okay. Honesty is beautiful and needs to be expressed more. Amen.

Here is a random (very short) collection of my musical inspiration..

wtf?

This weekend was LONGGG. Many thanks again to the amazing friends I have who helped get me through it. It was kinda brutal simply because we (or I) was under such a time crunch. But I have a slightly smaller to do list now, things are looking very much in order.

On Monday, as my mother and I were getting the last of the supplies necessary to complete the move, we took a trip down Mass Ave and saw one of the funniest things .....

I am unaware of what to even call such a thing. This is the most epic camel toe I have EVER seen. It looks like old girl straight up tucked and pinned that fabric up there. This should be the newest trend in Boston fashion, so ladies, take note. The bunching and tucking of fabric keeps the lady parts nice and cozy during those cold winter months.

As if that wasn't entertaining enough.. We go into Target and I am browsing for some cute new undies and I find this lil guy..

The LARGEST pair of underwear I've ever seen!! Jesus, there is NO acceptable reason why your ass needs to be that large. I'm small, but not that tiny, and look how huge they look. I could wear this thing as a leotard!

But in any case, we were entertained. South Bay Plaza needs to be turned into a tourist attraction because it never fails to amuse me. All of the finest walks of life Boston has to offer gather there.

Stellar Put Togethers !!!

Meet the lovely and oh so fashionable Kat! Her website is greattt! She's inspiring and above all so damn sweet. She is one of my great lady friends and I love what she is doing with her site.

"This blog is dedicated to those “what the hell do I wear with this?” moments when you’re in your closet or just finding something you absolutely adore at the store. Basically, I feature a micro-trend every week, and for every day of that week I’ll show you how to wear that piece with a different outfit. I always let you know where I found the piece and for how much, as well as different stores and price points so you can go out and get yours. Aside from the featured pieces and outfits I’ll show you a few things I made myself and other katastik related posts. "

Seriously... how cute is she?!
